| In Los Angeles, Jennifer studied extensively
with reknowned acting teacher, Diana Castle,
and also with Castle's mentor, Harry Mastrogeorge.
She was also accepted as a student at the Groundlings
Theatre where she trained in comedy improvisation.
She performed stand-up comedy under the tutelage
of Mark Lonow, famed executive of L.A.'s legendary
Improv Comedy Club. Throughout her time in Los
Angeles, Jennifer continued to appear in television
shows, commercials and films as well as performing
in regional theatres both in and outside of
Los Angeles. While in Los Angeles, Jennifer
also studied sign language and performed in
several productions with the crtically acclaimed
Deaf West Theatre, including her role as "The
Voice of Joan" (opposite Linda Bove) in
Saint Joan, for which Jennifer received the
Dramalogue award for "Best Supporting Actress".
Jennifer recently returned to the East Coast where
her acting career has only progressed. She continues
to perform regularly on television and in film,
travelling throughout the U.S. and overseas. She
currently resides in Virginia, where she occasionally
teaches acting and performs on stage.
Jennifer Massey is a member of Actors Equity, Screen
Actors Guild, and the American Federation of Television
and Radio Artists.
